Our Staff

Mike SteffensMike Steffens is the Managing Partner and Executive Talent Manager of Essence Entertainment. He joined the Essence Entertainment team in 1991 and was asked to take over the daily operations in 1996. Mike's diverse background in both entertainment and business make him uniquely effective in day to day operations as well as building relationships with clients.


Kurt CurtisJudy Kuri, our Senior Talent Manager, is delighted with the merging of JAM Entertainment & Events and Essence Entertainment - she brings her twenty-two years of experience with JAM and continues to provide all clients with her utmost professionalism and enthusiasm. Judy enjoys working on the variety of events that come her way, and says her motto has always been "My fun is planning your fun!"


Robin KellyRobin Kelly has been associated with Essence Entertainment for over twenty-five years. She spent many years as the Senior Talent Manager designing and creating imaginative entertainment experiences for all of our corporate and private party clients. Currently she manages the Marketing and Social Media aspects of the company. In addition, as Account Manager she is establishing and revitalizing relationships with our primary accounts.


Karen LaBiancaKaren LaBianca, Office Manager, is the glue that keeps it all together! Responsible for processing all of the paperwork generated in our office, she excels at handling contracts, payroll, billing, and communication with performers and clients. With the company since its founding in 1971, Karen is an integral part of the day to day operations.
